Saturday vs weekday pricing: let the widget charge correctly without arguing at the door

Holidays and weekends cost more. Set different rates and show parents before the deposit.

Charging more on Saturday afternoon than on a school-day Tuesday is normal. The problem is explaining it at the door when the parent swore “the website showed another price” or WhatsApp quoted from memory.

Holiday or weekend rates must be in online booking, not only in the owner’s head.

What to configure in the business

  • Weekday and holiday/weekend price per room or package (however you invoice).
  • Holiday calendar imported or marked (so the system knows which day applies).
  • Real closures on days you do not open (holidays and closures).

Then the total the parent sees before the deposit is what the panel records.

Clear communication on the website

  • Table or copy: “Saturdays and eve of public holidays: rate X”.
  • In the widget, the breakdown shows why that day costs more (avoids a “trap” feeling).
  • Confirmation email with amount and day type.

Reception operations

If you make a manual exception (Tuesday mid-morning discount), use a campaign code (low-season discounts) rather than changing price by hand with no record.

Demand and pricing

Raising Saturday price does not reduce demand if the market accepts it; it reduces bookings if competitors show cheaper online. Watch conversion in the funnel after rate changes.
